The A-5 style mandolin
My Grandpa Goertzen was a mandolin player. This style mandolin will always be, in my opinion, one of the best. The f-holes help give the instrument a clear and punchy focus, and the interior volume helps keep the bass level up. It's a well balanced classic Lloyd Loar design that I will forever love. My mandolins are all solid construction, with maple back and sides and spruce soundboard. I like both mahogany and maple for the neck material, the mahogany warms up the tone a little, whereas the maple seems to sharpen up the instruments voice. French polished finish with a lacquer over top to keep it sealed and slick. Mandolins are my love. A style instruments start at $3500 and include a hardshell case. Please inquire for more information.
