The "Goertzen" Hamm-tone
My Grandpa John Goertzen was the mandolin player from the Lincoln County Peach Pickers. They were quite popular in the 50's, and played on regular radio broadcasts based out of Hamilton, Ontario, spanning from coast to coast in range. I like to put his name on the headstocks of my mandolins.
I am primarily a mandolin player, and I appreciate an instrument that can cut above the banjo, but sweetly blend into the mix. My mandolins are built to provide a steady and reliable low end woody chop, while giving the player a sharp bitey treble that compliments the round and balanced, yet strong midrange frequencies. I'm a mandolin fanatic.
Starting at $4800 Canadian, you cannot find a better value in a high quality hand built F style mandolin.
